Marney holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and has worked alongside underserved communities both locally and internationally. These experiences have reinforced her belief that regardless of circumstance, people share the same fundamental need to be seen, valued, and connected.
She works directly with individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, and mental health challenges, building trust through consistency, respect, and authentic relationships. Marney believes lasting change often begins in small, overlooked moments by meeting people exactly where they are.
As a self taught artist, she has experienced firsthand the power of creativity to foster expression, connection, and a renewed sense of self. That perspective continues to shape her approach to outreach and her work alongside those served by One Starfish Foundation.
As the only female on the outreach team, Marney provides trusted support to women in need, offering practical assistance and a compassionate presence.
Marney believes we don't lack systems, we lack human connection. For many, those systems are overwhelming, difficult to navigate, and often out of reach. Connection is what bridges the gap, restores dignity, and creates the foundation for real change.
